The Nordmøre FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niklas Foss should have stopped the shot. Adam Sandbakken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Foss having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Laniakea's Adam Sandbakken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niklas Foss narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Adam Sandbakken sped through Nordmøre FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niklas Foss. Niklas Foss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Sandbakken in the 25th minute of the match. Niklas Foss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Sandbakken, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Sandbakken in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niklas Foss saved Nordmøre FK from getting behind. Niklas Foss came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Laniakea's Idar Kvale. But to his dismay, Idar Kvale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. When Laniakea's Adam Sandbakken in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nordmøre FK's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kai-Arne Polden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Nordmøre FK's goal looked a bit too open when Hans-Erik Osland came free, but Niklas Foss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Adam Sandbakken reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Niklas Foss. The goal made the score 0-8. Adam Sandbakken who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Niklas Foss when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Adam Sandbakken put it in 0-11 from a short distance just to the right of Niklas Foss. Laniakea's Jo Skinstad was substituted for Lars Kvaal. After a rather tough play, Laniakea's Tommy Øksendal got a free kick in the 70th minute. Niklas Foss was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adam Sandbakken showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 79 minute of play. Adam Sandbakken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niklas Foss having to make a save. If Idar Kvale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jostein Habbestad hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. A hard shot 95 in the game by Adam Sandbakken from a close distance when the talented Niklas Foss managed to make a qualified save. Nordmøre FK's players were relieved. The Nordmøre FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Laniakea were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
