Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harald Ekelund got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asgeir Figenschau in the 4th minute of play forced Holstad's goalkeeper Sivert Espeseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolga Zengin made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Harald Ekelund sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Linus Log in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sivert Espeseth saved Holstad from getting behind. Iver Aasberg's late challenge caught a Holstad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iver Aasberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Iver Aasberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Linus Log sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erlend Sørnes's late challenge caught a Molde FKNorway's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erlend Sørnes helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Holstad got a freekick which was hit by Erlend Sørnes. After having played for 25 minutes, Tore Meier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Molde FKNorway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tore Meier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 played minutes Holstad got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Østlund. Sivert Espeseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asgeir Figenschau in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute Asgeir Figenschau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sivert Espeseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Elverum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sivert Espeseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harald Ekelund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolga Zengin having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asgeir Figenschau to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Holstad got a freekick which was hit by Sturle Theodorsen. When Harald Ekelund came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Holstad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harald Ekelund couldn't finish the play. Linus Naustdal charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Linus Naustdal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Holstad got a freekick which was hit by Linus Naustdal. After 70 played minutes Holstad got a freekick which was hit by Kjartan Grøterud. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harald Ekelund in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tolga Zengin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kjartan Grøterud's late challenge caught a Molde FKNorway's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjartan Grøterud helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Holstad's Kjartan Grøterud got a free kick in the 79th minute. Daniel Elverum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Espeseth having to interfere. Asgeir Figenschau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sivert Espeseth having to make a save. A collision led to Molde FKNorway getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Daniel Elverum hit a great ball. When the match was over Molde FKNorway could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Holstad throughout the match.
