In the 40th minute, Marcu Hrebenciuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Curtis United's zone, Fabian Gabrielsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halvor Le came out of the goal and Fabian Gabrielsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romualdo Gibert took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Halvor Le. Halvor Le dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 46th minute, Marcu Hrebenciuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Maria Mena's Marcu Hrebenciuc got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Halvor Le stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcu Hrebenciuc's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The supporters of Maria Mena booed when Curtis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yngvar Øvrum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Halvor Le dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Nils-Johan Eidet charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
