The Pepega FK fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Pepega FK's Kenneth Tangen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Edgard Bjerkestrand came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Pepega FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Bjerkestrand couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Per-Kristian Baardsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pål Idsø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Bjerkestrand's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 12th match minute, Raagrend FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petter Oksnes to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Bjerkestrand struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Pål Idsø didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepega FK. A collision led to Pepega FK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kenneth Tangen hit a great ball. The supporters of Raagrend FK booed when Pepega FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Leine didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Asle Koppang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgard Bjerkestrand scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pål Idsø, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edgard Bjerkestrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Pål Idsø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Raagrend FK's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Bjerkestrand came free, but Pål Idsø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pål Idsø didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Bjerkestrand went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Pepega FK were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steinar Bentzen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Asle Koppang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute, Pepega FK's Edgard Bjerkestrand ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pål Idsø. Pål Idsø yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 64th minute, Pepega FK's Asle Koppang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When Edgard Bjerkestrand came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Pepega FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Bjerkestrand couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Bjerkestrand in the 78th minute of play forced Raagrend FK's goalkeeper Pål Idsø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asle Koppang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pål Idsø having to make a save. Pål Idsø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Wilhelmsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Raagrend FK's goalkeeper Pål Idsø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Asle Koppang. When the match was over Pepega FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Raagrend FK throughout the match.
