Spectators: 8449 (Terracing: 6338, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 168) Vinge's Storm Lindvik started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pål Idsø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Storm Lindvik in the 3rd minute of play. Pål Idsø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Storm Lindvik in the 9th minute of the match. Pål Idsø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Hellstrøm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Storm Lindvik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Storm Lindvik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pål Idsø breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jon Helberg got a throw-in 22 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jo Hellstrøm. Christian Langlo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vinge fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Raagrend FK a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erik Husa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vinge's Mons Bugge. 1-0. Storm Lindvik might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pål Idsø. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Storm Lindvik ran back to his position shaking his head. Storm Lindvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Pål Idsø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Raagrend FK's Petter Oksnes got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Storm Lindvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Storm Lindvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Raagrend FK's Petter Oksnes got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the game, Tor-Andre Anderssen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raagrend FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinge the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steinar Bentzen to strike the kick off in the second half. Vinge's Mons Bugge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steinar Bentzen in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Raagrend FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Storm Lindvik fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Jo Hellstrøm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Raagrend FK booed when Vinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karsten Oksnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Tor-Egil Smedstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jo Hellstrøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the game, Petter Oksnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raagrend FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinge the free kick. Søren Liane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Pål Idsø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes in the game Jon Helberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jo Hellstrøm. Storm Lindvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Vinge got a freekick which was hit by Storm Lindvik. Steinar Bentzen might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mons Bugge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steinar Bentzen ran back to his position shaking his head. Steinar Bentzen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mons Bugge having to make a save. Vinge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
