After 11 played minutes, Shankley-boys's Åsmund Vestnes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mons Bugge came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shankley-boys reached it. Jonathan Claussen charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Storm Lindvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Vinge's goal looked a bit too open when Theodor Kjærvik came free, but Mons Bugge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Rokne during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinge's Storm Lindvik got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hans Rokne got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 42nd match minute, Shankley-boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Rokne to maneuver through the defense. Jo Hellstrøm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Storm Lindvik made the kick off in the second half. When Storm Lindvik came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Vinge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Storm Lindvik couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Jo Hellstrøm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John-Edvin Tangerud was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Søren Liane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. John-Edvin Tangerud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Shankley-boys's zone, Runar Birkeland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Edvin Tangerud came out of the goal and Runar Birkeland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jo Hellstrøm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Jo Hellstrøm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John-Edvin Tangerud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinge were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Shankley-boys to leave the ground with a draw.
