The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Espen Reite during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Skogsfjord booed when Tromsdalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Espen Reite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vetle Stensby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rygh having to interfere. Tromsdalen's supporters rose to their feet, but Vetle Stensby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Rygh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Rygh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vetle Stensby went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Skogsfjord players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tromsdalen were winning 0-1.
