The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kirkenær BF's Håvard Skramstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnstein Worren in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Byggda IL's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Alver came free, but Mao Jun Xu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Jo Reitan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mao Jun Xu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mao Jun Xu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Alver in the 19th minute of play. If Tormod Kristiansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 minutes, Øyvind Jordet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Byggda IL and the Kirkenær BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. 26 minutes into the match, Kirkenær BF's Jarle Mortensen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 27th minute, Atle Bauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mao Jun Xu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Kirkenær BF's Storm Furu. But to his dismay, Storm Furu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mao Jun Xu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Storm Furu in the 32nd minute of the match. Mao Jun Xu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kirkenær BF's Storm Furu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 41st match minute, Byggda IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saffet Onatkan to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th match minute, Kirkenær BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Reitan to maneuver through the defense. The Byggda IL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kirkenær BF were winning 0-3.

After a rather tough play, Byggda IL's Tormod Kristiansen got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Alver in the 52nd minute of play forced Byggda IL's goalkeeper Mao Jun Xu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 played minutes Byggda IL got a freekick which was hit by Simen Sæbø. Håvard Skramstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roar Gjelsvik in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Reitan in the 60th minute of play forced Byggda IL's goalkeeper Mao Jun Xu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Alver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Mao Jun Xu made a huge save. After 62 played minutes Byggda IL got a freekick which was hit by Simen Sæbø. Mao Jun Xu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kirkenær BF's Storm Furu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Simen Sæbø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Håvard Skramstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Byggda IL got a freekick which was hit by Saffet Onatkan. Byggda IL's Mao Jun Xu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Reitan in the 73rd minute of play. Byggda IL's Mao Jun Xu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Byggda IL from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Byggda IL's Atle Bauer got a free kick in the 80th minute. Mao Jun Xu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Reitan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tormod Kristiansen fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Byggda IL's protests and gave Tormod Kristiansen a yellow card for diving instead. Tormod Kristiansen kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Jo Reitan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mao Jun Xu, 0-5. Mao Jun Xu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Storm Furu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 88 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kirkenær BF's Jo Reitan got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Mao Jun Xu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Alver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 96 minutes, Roar Gjelsvik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Byggda IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roar Gjelsvik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kirkenær BF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
