After 9 minutes, Storm Furu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mambu Mumba FC's Preben Ensrud tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Jo Reitan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Preben Ensrud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Marius Ekeberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Håvard Skramstad to make any attempt to save it. Håvard Skramstad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Westerlund in the 19th minute. Preben Ensrud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Omland, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Marius Ekeberg made a precise shot to the right of Håvard Skramstad. Kirkenær BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Preben Ensrud was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jo Reitan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jo Reitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preben Ensrud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Mambu Mumba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Weller to maneuver through the defense. Mambu Mumba FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jo Reitan 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-5. Tor-Kristian Høyland charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tor-Kristian Høyland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Kirkenær BF got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Kristian Høyland. Håvard Skramstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Westerlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Mambu Mumba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Reitan came free, but Preben Ensrud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håvard Skramstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Ekeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Jan Weller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kirkenær BF's Håvard Skramstad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute, Tor-Egil Todal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mambu Mumba FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
