The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Perfect Team's Alan Alfsen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Casper Bergström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole-Jostein Habberstad in the 5th minute of the match. If Christoffer Wessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ole-Jostein Habberstad in the 11th minute of play forced Perfect Team's goalkeeper Casper Bergström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Fredrik Øvergaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skogsfjord's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perfect Team the free kick. Fredrik Øvergaard kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Rolf Skjold was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Perfect Team's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 17 minutes into the game, Svend Westad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skogsfjord's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perfect Team the free kick. In the 17th minute, Svend Westad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolf Skjold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Rolf Skjold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perfect Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Skjold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Rygh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Eivind Rognes fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Perfect Team's protests and gave Eivind Rognes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Eivind Rognes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Perfect Team's zone, Ole-Jostein Habberstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Bergström came out of the goal and Ole-Jostein Habberstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinand Førde during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Perfect Team getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ferdinand Førde hit a great ball. Ole-Jostein Habberstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Bergström having to interfere. If Christoffer Wessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eivind Rognes to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ole-Jostein Habberstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute, Fredrik Øvergaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Hval, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Skogsfjord's goal looked a bit too open when Eivind Rognes came free, but Christian Rygh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Christer Hervik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perfect Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Hervik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolf Skjold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rygh having to interfere. Skogsfjord's Christian Rygh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eivind Rognes in the 72nd minute of play. Ole-Jostein Habberstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Casper Bergström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ole-Jostein Habberstad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Bergström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolf Skjold in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Rygh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eivind Rognes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Christian Rygh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rolf Skjold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Rygh was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Christian Rygh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eivind Rognes, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. During the 91st minute of the match Svend Westad completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Svend Westad a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
