Spectators: 8041 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 100) MCFC's Eric Langen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. MCFC's Heine Giese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Bekkevold in the 2nd minute of play. Raymond Stordal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Langen, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Eric Langen struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Raymond Stordal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MCFC. After having played for 12 minutes, Andreas Karlsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MCFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Karlsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Asmund Fosen made a precise shot to the right of Raymond Stordal. Fredrikstad FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Emil Langli hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Christoffer Aksnes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fredrikstad FK's Raymond Stordal didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Langen in the 20th minute of play forced Fredrikstad FK's goalkeeper Raymond Stordal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, one of Fredrikstad FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 26 minutes of play, MCFC's Johnnie Ekström made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raymond Stordal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kasper Tonheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Raymond Stordal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, MCFC's Johnnie Ekström made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raymond Stordal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Heine Giese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tormod Bjørgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes MCFC got a freekick which was hit by Asmund Fosen. MCFC's attack was well implemented in the 44th minute, but when Eric Langen was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After some careless play in the Fredrikstad FK defense, Johnnie Ekström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raymond Stordal. The Fredrikstad FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raymond Stordal should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William Bekkevold was the one to do the kick off. MCFC's Christoffer Aksnes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raymond Stordal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 63 minutes in the game, Asmund Fosen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raymond Stordal having to interfere. In the 64thth minute of the game Eric Langen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fredrikstad FK's Raymond Stordal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johnnie Ekström hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, MCFC's goal looked a bit too open when William Bekkevold came free, but Heine Giese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Bekkevold took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heine Giese. Heine Giese dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 87th minute, Johnnie Ekström fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Johnnie Ekström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raymond Stordal having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asmund Fosen got free with Raymond Stordal in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MCFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
