Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Østabø's Jan Standal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jan-Frode Rue fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gjengstøen's protests and gave Jan-Frode Rue a yellow card for diving instead. Jan-Frode Rue kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Martin Skogstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Myrdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anders Mjøen struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ståle Kvarme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gjengstøen. Tor-Arne Tangerud kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Roald Nerheim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Østabø booed when Gjengstøen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Henrik Skogen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Gjengstøen's goalkeeper Martin Skogstad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Myrdal. Jørgen Log recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tor-Henrik Skogen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gjengstøen's Martin Skogstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Standal in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Gjengstøen's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Standal came free, but Martin Skogstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jørgen Log hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jørgen Log charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jørgen Log the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Gjengstøen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jørgen Log to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th match minute, Gjengstøen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor-Henrik Skogen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Standal in the 60th minute of play forced Gjengstøen's goalkeeper Martin Skogstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gjengstøen's Martin Skogstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Standal in the 85th minute of play. Martin Skogstad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Martin Skogstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Myrdal in the 92nd minute of the match. Tor-Henrik Skogen got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tor-Henrik Skogen hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
