Kilen's supporters rose to their feet, but Kasper Fuglerud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Kilen booed when Fredrikstad FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Bekkevold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raymond Stordal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Lægreid in the 25th minute of the match. With 28 minutes on the clock, Stian Sætren commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 28 played minutes Fredrikstad FK got a freekick which was hit by Stian Sætren. The crowd rose to their feet as Fredrikstad FK's Tormod Bjørgo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trond Sandum. That made the score 3-0 after 35 minutes of play. After 40 minutes of play, Fredrikstad FK's Tormod Bjørgo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trond Sandum was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the game, Elias Saastad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trond Sandum. Elias Saastad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steinar Stein to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fredrik Lægreid reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raymond Stordal. The goal made the score 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Kilen's zone, Tormod Bjørgo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trond Sandum came out of the goal and Tormod Bjørgo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trond Sandum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Kiepski in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Elias Saastad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trond Sandum was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Trond Sandum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tormod Bjørgo in the 68th minute of play. If Tormod Bjørgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tormod Bjørgo in the 81st minute of play forced Kilen's goalkeeper Trond Sandum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes Fredrikstad FK got a freekick which was hit by William Bekkevold. Trond Sandum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tormod Bjørgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Tormod Bjørgo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trond Sandum having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Kilen's zone, Steinar Stein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trond Sandum came out of the goal and Steinar Stein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the game, Jim Svingen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fredrikstad FK's Mikolaj Kiepski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mikolaj Kiepski struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Fredrikstad FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
