Geir-Inge Unhjem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Mauseth having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Bjørkvik's goal looked a bit too open when Alf-Inge Hol came free, but Alf Mauseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Bjørkvik defense, Severin Hussein kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf Mauseth. The Bjørkvik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Mauseth should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Severin Hussein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Mauseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geir-Inge Unhjem in the 19th minute of play forced Bjørkvik's goalkeeper Alf Mauseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alf Mauseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severin Hussein in the 20th minute of the match. Konrad Førde hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Geir-Inge Unhjem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gædd FK and the Bjørkvik players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Ola Hjelseth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Alf-Inge Hol put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Alf Mauseth. 41 minutes into the match, Bjørkvik's goal looked a bit too open when Edvin Bredesen came free, but Alf Mauseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alf Mauseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severin Hussein in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tor-Ivar Mæhle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gædd FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tor-Ivar Mæhle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Mauseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severin Hussein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's Severin Hussein sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alf Mauseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kjetil Hellevik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Severin Hussein recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alf Mauseth. Severin Hussein showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Severin Hussein took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Alf Mauseth to make any attempt to save it. 61 minutes into the game, Tor-Ivar Mæhle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gædd FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bjørkvik the free kick. Tor-Ivar Mæhle kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Kristoffer Løchen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andreas Berglund skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Bjørkvik's Alf Mauseth got control of the ball when Severin Hussein tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Gædd FK's Severin Hussein slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alf Mauseth. That made the score 0-6 after 67 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severin Hussein in the 71st minute of play forced Bjørkvik's goalkeeper Alf Mauseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Bjørkvik's goal looked a bit too open when Severin Hussein came free, but Alf Mauseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severin Hussein got free with Alf Mauseth in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severin Hussein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Alf Mauseth made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Severin Hussein made a precise shot to the right of Alf Mauseth. Bjørkvik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Alf-Inge Hol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Alf Mauseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bjørkvik fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gædd FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
