The crowd rose to their feet as Breakdown Squad's Feliberto Panfilo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Søren Valen. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geir-Inge Skulstad in the 7th minute of play forced Breakdown Squad's goalkeeper Ole-Johan Skåra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oslo City FC's Fu Lin in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliberto Panfilo got free with Søren Valen in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Joachim Engelund notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Breakdown Squad's Ole-Johan Skåra. Ole-Johan Skåra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the game, Vegard Bruvoll cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ole-Johan Skåra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Jakob Øksendal fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oslo City FC's protests and gave Jakob Øksendal a yellow card for diving instead. Søren Valen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Panfilo in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliberto Panfilo to make the kick off. Gilmar Mendes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Søren Valen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geir Jespersen in the 56th minute of play. Fu Lin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Johan Skåra having to interfere. Ole-Johan Skåra was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Fu Lin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fu Lin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Breakdown Squad's Conrad Frey was substituted for Morten Tande. Breakdown Squad made a substitution. Antoni Koczara replaced Ulrik Kopperud. After a rather tough play, Oslo City FC's Joachim Engelund got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes Oslo City FC got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Engelund. Daniel Kanestrøm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Søren Valen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Kenneth Hebnes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Søren Valen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Søren Valen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geir Jespersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Fu Lin came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Oslo City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fu Lin couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute of the match Breakdown Squad got a corner. Oslo City FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kenneth Hebnes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Breakdown Squad's Rune Dahlberg got a free kick in the 89th minute. A collision led to Breakdown Squad getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Torbjørn Volle hit a great ball.
