Spectators: 9164 (Terracing: 6889, Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 175) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuel Rui started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hauk Hella sped through Benknäckargänget FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ola Kvaal. 5 minutes into the match, Ranheim IL's goalkeeper Ronny Oppedal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Richardsen. Ronny Oppedal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christian Richardsen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 5 minute of play. Ola Kvaal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krister Rikstad in the 8th minute of the match. Severin Borch kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Hauk Hella scored 1-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ola Kvaal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Krister Rikstad kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hauk Hella in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ola Kvaal saved Benknäckargänget FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Christian Richardsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benknäckargänget FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Richardsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Oppedal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Benknäckargänget FC booed when Ranheim IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Runar Nordtømme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Krister Rikstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ola Kvaal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krister Rikstad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ola Kvaal having to make a save. Ola Kvaal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hauk Hella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ranheim IL's Hauk Hella got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Husevåg in the 34th minute of play forced Ranheim IL's goalkeeper Ronny Oppedal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Hammeren kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When Kevin Hammeren fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benknäckargänget FC's protests and gave Kevin Hammeren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Benknäckargänget FC's Kevin Hammeren got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hauk Hella to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Haugvaldstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benknäckargänget FC's Ola Kvaal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krister Rikstad in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Ranheim IL's Krister Rikstad dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Hauk Hella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Krister Rikstad fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranheim IL's protests and gave Krister Rikstad a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Benknäckargänget FC booed when Ranheim IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Rikstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arthur Husevåg came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Benknäckargänget FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Husevåg couldn't finish the play. Martin Aschim charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Aschim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Benknäckargänget FC! An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Richardsen in the 81st minute of play forced Ranheim IL's goalkeeper Ronny Oppedal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Emanuel Rui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Oppedal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Benknäckargänget FC's Kevin Hammeren to fire away a dangerous shot which Ronny Oppedal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ola Kvaal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krister Rikstad in the 92nd minute of the match. Krister Rikstad received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ola Kvaal came out and tried to block the shot, but Krister Rikstad slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 95th minute. Ranheim IL's Ronny Oppedal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Richardsen in the 98th minute of play. Ranheim IL's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
