In the 3rd minute, Martin Rustad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Åsnes's Jonathan Vie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oddvar Lysne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Oddvar Lysne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Vie, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If John-Einar Bøen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Pollestad succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 17th playminute. Jonathan Vie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oddvar Lysne having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Martin Rustad. Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole-Gunnar Hægeland in the 24th minute of the match. Erik Pollestad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Christer Waaler made a huge save. Christer Waaler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Pollestad in the 30th minute. Åsnes's John-Einar Bøen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lukas Løvli in the 31 minute of the game. Kristian Sandersen might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oddvar Lysne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Sandersen ran back to his position shaking his head. After 34 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Vie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Vie in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oddvar Lysne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 38 minutes, Jonathan Vie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Vie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Jonathan Vie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oddvar Lysne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lukas Løvli kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ole-Gunnar Hægeland to make the kick off. Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lukas Løvli in the 57 minute of the game. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Bjørdal in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Martin Rustad got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th play minute Jonathan Vie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oddvar Lysne. 1-2. If Jonathan Vie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Jonathan Vie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Vie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88th play minutes Jonathan Vie shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Oddvar Lysne and just under the crossbar into goal. Jonathan Vie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oddvar Lysne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Sandersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Åsnes played a much better game than EMhawks and deserved their victory. The EMhawks players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
