Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucian Covataru kicked off to start the match. UFC Mahmudie's Dedé Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 5th minute of play. In the 6thth minute of the game Laurențiu Cinteză who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Claudiu Coidum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Mahmudie's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedé Alves came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 16th minute of play forced UFC Mahmudie's goalkeeper Dedé Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dedé Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Alves having to interfere. Dedé Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 25th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedé Alves. Dedé Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Ciuvică in the 35th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Coidum in the 37th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Coidum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Encuțescu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dedé Alves, a very annoying self made goal in the 40th minute which led to 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Dedé Alves made a huge save. After some careless play in the UFC Mahmudie defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedé Alves. The UFC Mahmudie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedé Alves should have stopped the shot. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Emil Ciuvică kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Dedé Alves was a little too slow when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-4. In the 63rd minute of the match, Wim Wilmes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dedé Alves saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 67th minute, Emil Ciuvică made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. UFC Mahmudie made a substitution. Mihăiţă Cristea replaced Narcis Pârlea. UFC Mahmudie made a substitution. Sandu Alexa replaced Laurențiu Cinteză. After 73 minutes UFC Mahmudie's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 76th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Daniel Encuțescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Mahmudie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After a rather tough play, UFC Mahmudie's Mihăiţă Cristea got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, UFC Mahmudie's goalkeeper Dedé Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandu Alexa's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
