Leendert van der Aa hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Rob Zandberg spun around in front of the goal 12 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mike Ekoku Juniors's goal. After 14th play minutes Godfried Ooijer shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Hubert Wel and just under the crossbar into goal. Godfried Ooijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Wel having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Riemer Dijkstra during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Riemer Dijkstra hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Godfried Ooijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rob Zandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hubert Wel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mike Ekoku Juniors's Jef Scheepstra got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godfried Ooijer to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mike Ekoku Juniors booed when RFC Gudde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Meder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Marcus de Witte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mike Ekoku Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus de Witte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathan Zandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nathan Zandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Som, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 64 minutes, Marcus de Witte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mike Ekoku Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus de Witte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 played minutes RFC Gudde got a freekick which was hit by Denny Geitz. 67 minutes into the match, Mike Ekoku Juniors's Steve Som sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nathan Zandberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of RFC Gudde booed when Mike Ekoku Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Soer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Mike Ekoku Juniors were awarded a corner. Youri Speelman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of RFC Gudde's goalie and right to Leendert van der Aa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. RFC Gudde's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 79th match minute, RFC Gudde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Beuk to maneuver through the defense. Marcus de Witte struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Nathan Zandberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mike Ekoku Juniors. In the 90thth minute of the game Marcus de Witte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RFC Gudde's Nathan Zandberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The RFC Gudde supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RFC Gudde would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
