In the 12th minute Rudolf Engbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Lanting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herman Boer's late challenge caught a FC subzoRRR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Boer helped the player get up and apologised. Aekinga SV's Henry Lanting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Engbers in the 28th minute of play. Herman Boer was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of FC subzoRRR booed when Aekinga SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Boer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Rudolf Engbers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Lanting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Huizen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herman Koole in the 35th minute. Dennis Soer hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ronald Dirks hit a great ball. Tonnie Theissen hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berend van Someren in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Lanting prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jurre van Gastel made a kick off. A collision led to Aekinga SV getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gerard Šmíd hit a great ball. Henry Lanting made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Berend van Someren sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gert Meyer during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th match minute, FC subzoRRR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Meyer to maneuver through the defense. Henry Lanting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Soer in the 59th minute of the match. Aekinga SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC subzoRRR the free kick. After 62 played minutes Aekinga SV got a freekick which was hit by Herman Koole. Henry Lanting made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Berend van Someren sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd match minute, FC subzoRRR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Soer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Koole in the 73rd minute of play forced FC subzoRRR's goalkeeper Gerard Huizen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Lanting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Engbers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Aekinga SV's Herman Koole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerard Huizen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Rudolf Engbers took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Henry Lanting to make any attempt to save it. FC subzoRRR played a much better game than Aekinga SV and deserved their victory. The Aekinga SV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
