Jelmer Waterreuss short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Kurt Zoontjens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 14 played minutes F.N.N. United got a freekick which was hit by Philip Kuiper. The supporters of F.N.N. United booed when Averreest VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boudewijn Waidijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Averreest VV's Arjen Rodenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacques de Ridder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Nathan Riemers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, F.N.N. United's Wilfried van der Gun got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kurt Zoontjens. Jelmer Waterreus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Zoontjens having to interfere. Chris Schepers hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Arjen Rodenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Averreest VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arjen Rodenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Willem Anker to make the kick off. Kurt Zoontjens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelmer Waterreus in the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Willem Anker in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Zoontjens saved Averreest VV from getting behind. Nathan Riemers hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jelmer Waterreus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Jan-Willem Anker elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
