Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. BackAgain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Deijkers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Luuk van der Aa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Zoontjens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luuk van der Aa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of BackAgain booed when Averreest VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Riemers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Jongsma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kurt Zoontjens. Averreest VV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Averreest VV's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Deijkers came free, but Kurt Zoontjens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Averreest VV's zone, Luuk van der Aa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arjen Rodenberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Arjen Rodenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Averreest VV's Kurt Zoontjens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Averreest VV from getting a goal against them. BackAgain's Simon Deijkers got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
