The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans Heijer was the one to do the kick off. Elroy Matthijs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Heijer's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Anthony Planting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hans Heijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Heijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Ernest Rekers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Heijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Elroy Matthijs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Heijer in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elroy Matthijs saved Tibben from getting behind. If Hans Heijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Hans Heijer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The fc kerkrade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Donny Kleinman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastiaan Tuhuteru, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Tibben's Elroy Matthijs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Heijer in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the Tibben defense, Kristof Nelissen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elroy Matthijs. The Tibben fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elroy Matthijs should have stopped the shot. Hans Heijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elroy Matthijs having to interfere. Tibben:s Elroy Matthijs showed great skill when he stopped Izaak Stubbe:s penalty. Izaak Stubbe took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elroy Matthijs. Elroy Matthijs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Neijsen in the 92nd minute of play forced Tibben's goalkeeper Elroy Matthijs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elroy Matthijs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Heijer's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The supporters of fc kerkrade booed when Tibben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Kruit didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Hans Heijer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. fc kerkrade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Heijer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tibben succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though fc kerkrade had controlled the match.
