To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Halen S.V. booed when Tibben was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Okkes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dirk Jan Ieberink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dirk Jan Ieberink might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elroy Matthijs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dirk Jan Ieberink ran back to his position shaking his head. Elroy Matthijs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Jan Ieberink, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Dirk Jan Ieberink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dick van Zwam hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, Tibben was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastiaan Tuhuteru to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Elroy Matthijs managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Halen S.V.'s Dirk Jan Ieberink fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dirk Jan Ieberink in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elroy Matthijs saved Tibben from getting behind. Rob Kruit charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rob Kruit the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tibben's Rob Kruit got a free kick in the 34th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Hubert Rooy in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Halen S.V.'s Dick van Zwam. In the 53rd minute, Dirk Jan Ieberink got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Govert Sturkenboom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Rekers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dirk Jan Ieberink blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elroy Matthijs having to make a save. Dirk Jan Ieberink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dick van Zwam struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Elroy Matthijs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Halen S.V.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Jan Ieberink in the 67th minute of play forced Tibben's goalkeeper Elroy Matthijs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bastiaan Tuhuteru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Dirk Jan Ieberink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elroy Matthijs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bastiaan Tuhuteru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Govert Sturkenboom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Tibben got a freekick which was hit by Arjan Nedergaard. In the 96th minute of the match Otto van Gaal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elroy Matthijs showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
