Sander Smeekes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Berend Maurits showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 33 minute of play. After 36 played minutes jong ajax got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Boezeman. 45 minutes into the match, Berend Maurits dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sander Smeekes, 3-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Ooijer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Tietjerk V.V.'s Laurens Hindriks slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gijsbert Alferink. That made the score 3-5 after 54 minutes of play. jong ajax's Peter Ooijer got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gijsbert Alferink was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dolf Stolte. Tietjerk V.V. played a much better game than jong ajax and deserved their victory. The jong ajax players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
