Alfred Molenaar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogier van Zaanen came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfred Molenaar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. The supporters of Kerkbuurt HC booed when Kippenpootjes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luc Boschker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes Kippenpootjes got a freekick which was hit by Franck Moermans. After 32 minutes of play, Kerkbuurt HC's Jan Daalmeyer made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Werner Poels was left in no man's land by his defense there! Franck Moermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rogier van Zaanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogier van Zaanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Molenaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Kerkbuurt HC's goalkeeper Rogier van Zaanen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc van Putten.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Molenaar made a kick off. When Luc Boschker fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kippenpootjes's protests and gave Luc Boschker a yellow card for diving instead. 62 minutes into the match, Alfred Molenaar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogier van Zaanen. Kerkbuurt HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Molenaar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 68th minute Jan Daalmeyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Poels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Kerkbuurt HC defense, Alfred Molenaar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogier van Zaanen. The Kerkbuurt HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogier van Zaanen should have stopped the shot. Gerjan Pluym took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogier van Zaanen. Kerkbuurt HC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Alfred Molenaar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kippenpootjes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kerkbuurt HC the free kick. After 83 minutes of play, Kippenpootjes's Alfred Molenaar made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogier van Zaanen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Kippenpootjes's Arie Schutrups got a free kick in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Molenaar in the 93rd minute of play forced Kerkbuurt HC's goalkeeper Rogier van Zaanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Kerkbuurt HC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Molenaar came free, but Rogier van Zaanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kippenpootjes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
