The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folkert Rademaker to strike the kick off in the second half. When Twan Siepel came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Hofte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Twan Siepel couldn't finish the play. Ruud Veldman charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruud Veldman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, PSV FC's Ruud Veldman got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gijs Zuiverloon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan Siepel in the 59th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, PSV FC's Folkert Rademaker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gijsbert Koster made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Hofte's Twan Siepel got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hofte's zone, Folkert Rademaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gijsbert Koster came out of the goal and Folkert Rademaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th match minute, PSV FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Co van Aalderen to maneuver through the defense. Raymond Averdijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gijs Zuiverloon having to interfere. Raymond Averdijks short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Gijs Zuiverloon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gijsbert Koster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Hartlief, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hofte's Pascall Groten pulled a muscle in his back after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Folkert Rademaker during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to PSV FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Folkert Rademaker hit a great ball. Mirko de Backer was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Hofte's Mirko de Backer got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute of the match PSV FC got a corner. Hofte's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan-Joost Beishuizen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led PSV FC's Jan-Joost Beishuizen to fire away a dangerous shot which Gijsbert Koster despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. PSV FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
