Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Serge Arts made the kick off which started today's match. If Japke Wessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Joost van Zelst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Bijl having to interfere. Maurits van Basten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Japke Wessel, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Serge Arts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ed Bijl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Erwin de Haan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maurits van Basten. Erwin de Haan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 25th match minute, The Young Ones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yorrick Roodenburg to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Erwin de Haan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurits van Basten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erwin de Haan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurits van Basten having to make a save. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Young Ones FC's goalkeeper Maurits van Basten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Eibergen FC's Erwin de Haan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurits van Basten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The Young Ones FC's Maurits van Basten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjorn Pronk in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Bjorn Pronk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eibergen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjorn Pronk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hette de Vlieger hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Maurits van Basten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin de Haan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th match minute, The Young Ones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Haremeijer to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Erwin de Haan made the kick off in the second half. When Eibergen FC's Japke Wessel in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Young Ones FC's goalie prevented a goal. Henk Kramer took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurits van Basten. Maurits van Basten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 57th minute Bjorn Pronk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurits van Basten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jan-Joost van Zelst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hette de Vlieger during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, The Young Ones FC's Hette de Vlieger got a free kick in the 67th minute. Maurits van Basten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Japke Wessel, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Maurits van Basten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Japke Wessel in the 74th minute of play. When Japke Wessel came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Eibergen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Japke Wessel couldn't finish the play. Maurits van Basten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hette Deijnen went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Henk Kramer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Erwin de Haan sped through The Young Ones FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maurits van Basten.
