Steve de Haans short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Marcel Klaasens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcel Klaasens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izaak Baars in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roeland Reints during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Humberto Keller was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 19 minutes of play, FC KARRAZ's Steve de Haan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel Klaasens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frits Eylens kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Marcel Klaasens made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Steve de Haan sent off a good shot on target. Izaak Baars struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Marcel Klaasens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC KARRAZ. In the 31st minute of the match Michel den Hertogh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Billy de Vries showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Izaak Baars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Izaak Baars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izaak Baars scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Klaasens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the game, Casper Kun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Billy de Vries was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Izaak Baars was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Casper Kun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DEN HELDER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casper Kun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Izaak Baars received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marcel Klaasens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Meyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy de Vries read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Marcel Klaasens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izaak Baars, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, DEN HELDER's goal looked a bit too open when Izaak Baars came free, but Marcel Klaasens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve de Haan might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Klaasens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steve de Haan ran back to his position shaking his head.
