The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Eesergroen S.V. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Auke Pieters hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Alfred Dolfing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Allard Winters was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Alfred Dolfing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allard Winters having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Falco Keupink during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Eesergroen S.V.'s Falco Keupink got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Leendert Looze made a precise shot to the right of Rudolf Zegeling. Eesergroen S.V.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Alfred Dolfing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allard Winters having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Djept got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Spaan. Ger Wansink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Jack Broos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfred Dolfing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Eesergroen S.V. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Djept were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leendert Looze was the one to do the kick off. If Oscar Akkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allard Winters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Akkerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Leendert Looze struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Rudolf Zegeling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Djept. Oscar Akkerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allard Winters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Akkerman ran back to his position shaking his head. Djept's Allard Winters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Dolfing in the 74th minute of play. Oscar Akkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertus Peters hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Eesergroen S.V.'s Arno Hommes tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Allard Winters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Dolfing in the 87th minute of the match. Ger Wansink was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rudolf Zegeling was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Leendert Looze capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leendert Looze really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The supporters of Eesergroen S.V. booed when Djept was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertus Peters didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Djept had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
