Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan de Nooijer to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Vaarsel got a freekick which was hit by Sjef Buskes. In the 60thth minute of the game Emile Zeeman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vaarsel's Mart de Lange was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mart de Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurits Ploeger in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Vaarsel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wouter Graaf to maneuver through the defense.
