The audience was convinced that Mark Pals's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karel Korf was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Karel Korf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joris Derks in the 33rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Atsma made a kick off. Martijn Joppets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demy Bruinsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes Drimmelen HC got a freekick which was hit by Dirk-Jan Graaf. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roelof Schouten got free with Karel Korf in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jan van der Haar was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. Jan van der Haar hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Martijn Joppets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coos Bakhuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Harm van Zaanen hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Coos Bakhuis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martijn Joppets having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Drimmelen HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Schie to maneuver through the defense. Karel Korf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Atsma in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Gerrie van Zeijl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hugo Atsma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Karel Korf made a huge save. Gerrie van Zeijl's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Karel Korf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 89 minutes of play, FC Pieskowa Skala's Mark Pals made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karel Korf was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dries Bruin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Karel Korf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When FC Pieskowa Skala's Christijan Hof in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drimmelen HC's goalie prevented a goal. FC Pieskowa Skala's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
