AFC Ajax Amsterdam's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, AFC Ajax Amsterdam's Jan Savenije made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thomas Meier made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Daan Willems sent off a good shot on target.
