The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Harm Brugmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harm Brugmans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willem Moek having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harm Brugmans in the 10th minute of play forced Grou City Heroes's goalkeeper Willem Moek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Harm Brugmans came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Terwinselen S.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harm Brugmans couldn't finish the play. Terwinselen S.V.'s Casper Schimmel got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harm Brugmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willem Moek having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wilfried de Bruin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willem Moek was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 24 minutes, Stijn Hulzebos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grou City Heroes and the Terwinselen S.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bert Raatjes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Willem Moek. Grou City Heroes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casper Schimmel during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Terwinselen S.V. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Casper Schimmel hit a great ball. Roel van Dongen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Arnout Thole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Harm Brugmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terwinselen S.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Harm Brugmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willem Moek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willem Moek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harm Brugmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Harm Brugmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilfried de Bruin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Harm Brugmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willem Moek was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Wilfried de Bruin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Casper Schimmel got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Casper Schimmel hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Grou City Heroes's Willem Moek got control of the ball when Harm Brugmans tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roel van Dongen struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Arnout Thole didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grou City Heroes. A collision led to Terwinselen S.V. getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Robert-Jan Bult hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Terwinselen S.V.'s Ferry Kleefstra got a free kick in the 86th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Wessel Broerse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grou City Heroes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wessel Broerse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harm Brugmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Willem Moek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willem Moek made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Wilfried de Bruin sent off a good shot on target.
