Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dirk Schophuis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Roewen in the 4th minute of play forced Diffelen FC's goalkeeper Stef Dalmeijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frank Roewen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stef Dalmeijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Schophuis, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Diffelen FC's Joris de Zwart seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joris de Zwart the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Diffelen FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joris de Zwart had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 25th minute, one of Diffelen FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Diffelen FC. The referee gave PSV Eindhoven a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernard Blind, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Diffelen FC's Stef Dalmeijer. 0-1. In the 30th minute Dirk Schophuis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stef Dalmeijer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes in the game, Harold Hoekstra fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fokke Klok having to interfere. Paul Oortwijn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Michael Rodenberg made the kick off in the second half. When Frank Roewen, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 61 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Stef Dalmeijer was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of PSV Eindhoven booed when Diffelen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pim Bette didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Diffelen FC's zone, Dirk Schophuis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stef Dalmeijer came out of the goal and Dirk Schophuis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stef Dalmeijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Schophuis in the 68th minute of play. Diffelen FC's Stef Dalmeijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Diffelen FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Diffelen FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Paul Oortwijn hit a great ball. Diffelen FC's Stef Dalmeijer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelle Sligter in the 79th minute of play. Frank Roewen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 81st playminute. Dave Borgman charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dave Borgman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, PSV Eindhoven's Dave Borgman got a free kick in the 85th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Michael Rodenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diffelen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Rodenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Michael Rodenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, PSV Eindhoven's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Oortwijn came free, but Fokke Klok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. PSV Eindhoven had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
