The referee ignored Huizem's protests and gave Olof Schattenberg a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Huizem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Heierhoeve FC:s goal. Sjef Hellemons hit a great ball. Heierhoeve FC's Ronald Akkerman got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Klaas Roewen hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Simon Onrust had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Even in the 35th minute of play forced Heierhoeve FC's goalkeeper Lucas Klasens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucas Klasens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bjorn Even couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Dussel in the 68th minute of play forced Heierhoeve FC's goalkeeper Lucas Klasens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregor Stevens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronald Akkerman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Heierhoeve FC's Marcel Gulpen got a free kick in the 77th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
