Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bavinkel's Ferdinant de Haan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Bavinkel's zone, Gero Taxis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stijn Hof came out of the goal and Gero Taxis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gero Taxis might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stijn Hof. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gero Taxis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th match minute, Bavinkel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Wielens to maneuver through the defense. Stijn Hof took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gero Taxis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stijn Hof made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gero Taxis in the 22nd minute of play. Mirko Engelaar's late challenge caught a IJsselham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mirko Engelaar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Mirko Engelaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Kramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Stijn Hof tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Raymond Kuijpers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stijn Hof saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Raymond Kuijpers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IJsselham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Kuijpers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, IJsselham's Raymond Kuijpers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stijn Hof narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience was convinced that Gero Taxis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stijn Hof was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 56th match minute, Bavinkel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinant de Haan to maneuver through the defense. Raymond Kuijperss short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Stijn Hof to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gero Taxis managed to get in a good position for a shot. IJsselham's supporters rose to their feet, but Gero Taxis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stijn Hof breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Jacques Heuving hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gero Taxis in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stijn Hof prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Bavinkel's Stijn Hof got control of the ball when Raymond Kuijpers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stijn Hof made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raymond Kuijpers in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the match, IJsselham's Gero Taxis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stijn Hof narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Bavinkel's goalkeeper Stijn Hof had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sander Langenbach. In the 83rd minute, Raymond Kuijpers made a precise shot to the right of Stijn Hof. Bavinkel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. IJsselham's Raymond Kuijpers got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stijn Hof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gero Taxis, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over IJsselham could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bavinkel throughout the match.
