Danny Hellemons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Stuijt having to interfere. Danny Hellemons's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Remco Stuijt firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zoeterwoude HC's Philip Weken got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Zoeterwoude HC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Zoeterwoude HC's Danny Hellemons looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gerrit Bosz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Sipke Timmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Stuijt having to interfere. Diderik Zeegelaar made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zoeterwoude HC's Jordy Kosterman. 3-0 became the score in the 36th minute when Danny Hellemons elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Maurits in the 44th minute of play forced Zoeterwoude HC's goalkeeper Johannes Temen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hubert Ricksen during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Volendam made a substitution. Oscar Brugmans replaced Lucas Kolkman. In the 49th match minute, FC Volendam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubert Ricksen to maneuver through the defense. Remco Stuijt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Hellemons in the 50th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philip Weken to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Volendam's zone, Philip Weken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remco Stuijt came out of the goal and Philip Weken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Philip Weken notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of FC Volendam's Remco Stuijt. Remco Stuijt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd minute, Hubert Ricksen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Hellemons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Remco Stuijt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, FC Volendam's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Hellemons came free, but Remco Stuijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Hellemons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jordy Kosterman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Stuijt having to interfere. Roelof Heikens charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roelof Heikens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Roelof Heikens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remco Stuijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Weken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remco Stuijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Hellemons, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Danny Hellemons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Danny Hellemons had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remco Stuijt. FC Volendam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danny Hellemons was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Remco Stuijt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danny Hellemons's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When the referee ended the match the Zoeterwoude HC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
