Roger Hoogsteen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernst van der Haar. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as De Piepies's Fulgencio Romano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernst van der Haar. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. 18 minutes in the game Jeroen van Zijl did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fulgencio Romano. Ernst van der Haar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben van Zaanen in the 20th minute of play. Mark Tyson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijs Blommaart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernst van der Haar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Romano in the 27th minute of the match. Fulgencio Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ernst van der Haar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of De Piepies booed when Flevowijk RKSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Boezeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeroen van Zijl made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Steven Heida however managed to control. 38 minutes into the match, De Piepies's goal looked a bit too open when Gijs Blommaart came free, but Mark Tyson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steven Atsma hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Fulgencio Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, De Piepies's Fulgencio Romano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Romano in the 55th minute of play forced Flevowijk RKSV's goalkeeper Ernst van der Haar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Steven Heida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst van der Haar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernst van der Haar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Romano went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 62 minutes in the game Jeroen van Zijl did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fulgencio Romano. Steven Atsma's late challenge caught a De Piepies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Steven Heida left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Piepies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 95 minutes into the match, Steven Heida notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Flevowijk RKSV's Ernst van der Haar. Ernst van der Haar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. De Piepies walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
