Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Diderik Reis got the match started through his kick off. Jelle Opdam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sjaak Genkenaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wachtum FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Middele a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christijan Vorenkamp, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wachtum FC's Jelle Opdam. 0-1. A collision led to Wachtum FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Gerrie de Jong hit a great ball. Jelle Opdam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjaak Genkenaar in the 13th minute of the match. Floris Kauffeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klaus Evers in the 23rd minute. Jelle Opdam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damien Aalberts hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Wachtum FC's David Tinselboer in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Middele's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Middele getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Anthony Grijpstra hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Middele's zone, David Tinselboer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Floris Kauffeld came out of the goal and David Tinselboer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Wachtum FC booed when Middele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonnie Zomerdijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelle Opdam came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Middele's Diderik Reis. But to his dismay, Diderik Reis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Wachtum FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Middele were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when David Tinselboer made the kick off in the second half. Tonnie Zomerdijk hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Teun Baars sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Middele's Floris Kauffeld didn't even have to move. A collision led to Middele getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Tonnie Zomerdijk hit a great ball. Dave Meyer struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jelle Opdam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Middele. If Diderik Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jelle Opdam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diderik Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sjaak Genkenaar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Jelle Opdam made a huge save. After 78 minutes Wachtum FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christijan Vorenkamp who took care of the corner kick. In the 82nd minute, Klaus Evers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Klaus Evers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Floris Kauffeld having to interfere. Jelle Opdam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diderik Reis in the 89th minute of play. When Sjaak Genkenaar came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Middele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sjaak Genkenaar couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Middele's Diderik Reis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jelle Opdam. Jelle Opdam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The Wachtum FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Middele's performance. The match ended with a win for Middele.
