Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tjeerd Erenstein made a kick off. Erwin Engelaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Siemers having to interfere. If Erwin Engelaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Jeroen Bodde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregor Siemers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Engelaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Erwin Engelaar came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Kulsdom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erwin Engelaar couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Erwin Engelaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Siemers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roel Lubbers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
