The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Teves took the kick off in the first half of the match. Carlos Teves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hias Nüssli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Carlos Teves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hias Nüssli. Carlos Teves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Teves in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. Timo Siegmund hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Marcial Abaunza from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Hias Nüssli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Teves in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of La Guardia Imperial booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Iseli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Teves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hias Nüssli came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Teves slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 13th minute. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Teves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Teves in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to La Guardia Imperial getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Francisco Sayveon hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Switzerland's Gustav Iseli got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Teves in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Carlos Teves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hias Nüssli was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Marcial Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hias Nüssli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Teves went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Bernardo Laurin in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Switzerland's Eric Thomi. Carlos Teves took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hias Nüssli. Hias Nüssli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Teves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Teves struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hias Nüssli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Guardia Imperial. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuele Kunz was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Maurer. In the 56th minute, Carlos Teves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Guardia Imperial fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Gustav Iseli made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Samuele Kunz. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by La Guardia Imperial's Carlos Teves. But to his dismay, Carlos Teves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Jacinto Maurer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Switzerland's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Maurer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilano Esiquio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Carlos Teves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Teves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 72nd minute Carlos Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Samuele Kunz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Switzerland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gustav Iseli hit a great ball. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Teves in the 79th minute of play. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Teves in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Carlos Teves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Guardia Imperial fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. After some careless play in the Switzerland defense, Carlos Teves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hias Nüssli. The Switzerland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hias Nüssli should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute, Francisco Sayveon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Guardia Imperial were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Switzerland for a fine match.
