Tomas Dost's late challenge caught a FC Boogie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Dost helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Boogie booed when Swichum Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Dost didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bram Wessel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sjoerd Karelse having to interfere. Sjoerd Karelse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folker Cramer's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes FC Boogie got a freekick which was hit by Harris Bakker. Swichum Excelsior were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after FC Boogie's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Han Poelman took the corner. The corner ended in Han Poelman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Boogie's Sjoerd Karelse did a great save. Bram Wessel struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Sjoerd Karelse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swichum Excelsior. If Bram Wessel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folker Cramer to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, FC Boogie's goal looked a bit too open when Folker Cramer came free, but Sjoerd Karelse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 53 minutes, Bram Wessel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swichum Excelsior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bram Wessel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bram Wessel came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Swichum Excelsior fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bram Wessel couldn't finish the play. Sjoerd Karelse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folker Cramer's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, FC Boogie's goal looked a bit too open when Bram Wessel came free, but Sjoerd Karelse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram Wessel in the 71st minute of play forced FC Boogie's goalkeeper Sjoerd Karelse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sjoerd Karelse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folker Cramer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Folker Cramer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swichum Excelsior's supporters rose to their feet, but Folker Cramer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sjoerd Karelse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th match minute, FC Boogie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Hoeksma to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Han Poelman shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for FC Boogie's Sjoerd Karelse to catch but Han Poelman was lucky. It became 5-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Folker Cramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sjoerd Karelse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, FC Boogie's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Dost came free, but Sjoerd Karelse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Swichum Excelsior were the better team. Swichum Excelsior's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
