Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Timmie Bruintjes got the match started through his kick off. Timmie Bruintjess short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Jef Barendregt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 11th minute, Fred Dekens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timmie Bruintjes in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jef Barendregt saved Heteren from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Heteren's zone, Stef Perk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jef Barendregt came out of the goal and Stef Perk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Stef Perk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AfgFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stef Perk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mike Tamminga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Roewen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stef Perk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jef Barendregt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Roland Stolte notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of AfgFC's Mike Tamminga. Mike Tamminga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mike Tamminga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn Roewen in the 38th minute of play. Stef Perk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jef Barendregt having to interfere. If Timmie Bruintjes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martijn Roewen was the one to do the kick off. Mike Tamminga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roland Stolte in the 54th minute. If Bertus Wesseling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jef Barendregt came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by AfgFC's Timmie Bruintjes. But to his dismay, Timmie Bruintjes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Stef Perk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heteren's Bennie Tuhuteru got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Timmie Bruintjes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jef Barendregt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timmie Bruintjes went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timmie Bruintjes in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jef Barendregt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Heteren's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
