If Niels-Jan Zwaanswijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Niels-Jan Zwaanswijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amazigh's supporters rose to their feet, but Niels-Jan Zwaanswijk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Japke Ottens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Grolloo's Pascall Luirink got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute, Filip Spijker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Martijn Lucius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vincent Vliet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Heuvel's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Grolloo's Japke Ottens got control of the ball when Filip Spijker tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Amazigh's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Heuvel came free, but Vincent Vliet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 41st minute when Emil Heuvel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Niels-Jan Zwaanswijk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Japke Ottens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Heuvel to strike the kick off in the second half. Japke Ottens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Stuijvenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niels-Jan Zwaanswijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Japke Ottens having to interfere. Danny Naaijer's late challenge caught a Grolloo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny Naaijer helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Emil Heuvel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vincent Vliet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Heuvel, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Grolloo's Emil Heuvel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincent Vliet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niels-Jan Zwaanswijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Japke Ottens having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
