Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jens Blank kicked off to start the match. When Iwan Kruijs came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Doezum HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwan Kruijs couldn't finish the play. Jens Blank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Elroy Drenth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luuk de Jong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geert Degeling having to interfere. Klaas Kuypers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Geert Degeling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens Blank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stavoren's Klaas Kuypers got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elroy Drenth was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rolf Kiewiet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. A collision led to Doezum HC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rolf Kiewiet hit a great ball. Elroy Drenth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens Blank went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Jelmer Cohen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Geert Degeling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Doezum HC got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Kiewiet. After a defensive mix-up in Doezum HC's zone, Wim Saarberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geert Degeling came out of the goal and Wim Saarberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaas Kuypers to strike the kick off in the second half. Doezum HC's Geert Degeling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelmer Cohen in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Doezum HC's goalkeeper Geert Degeling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaas Kuypers. 58 minutes into the game, Jens Blank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Elroy Drenth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute, Jens Blank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Doezum HC's goalkeeper Geert Degeling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Jasper Rolink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doezum HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stavoren the free kick. Klaas Kuypers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Klaas Kuypers might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geert Degeling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Klaas Kuypers ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolf Kiewiet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elroy Drenth having to interfere. Geert Degeling made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Klaas Kuypers sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Jens Blank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Doezum HC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
