After a defensive mix-up in Doezum HC's zone, Lennart Blanc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geert Degeling came out of the goal and Lennart Blanc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Blancs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Geert Degeling to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jens Blank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The wind increased when Bill Oortwijn made the kick off in the second half. Lennart Blanc hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jens Blank showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Ronny Werner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Blank, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Jens Blank left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doezum HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Rolf Kiewiet charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolf Kiewiet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remco Rogaars sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carel Oevermans's late challenge caught a DE RODE BOLIDE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carel Oevermans helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of DE RODE BOLIDE booed when Doezum HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carel Oevermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Jens Blank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Werner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remco Rogaars in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geert Degeling saved Doezum HC from getting behind. Doezum HC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
