Steve Pluijm made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Theo Jonkman sent off a good shot on target. Sjoerd Gerseke took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Hoving. Martin Hoving dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Steve Pluijm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bram Bos in the 14th minute of play. Ruisseveen's Maurus Claevers got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sjoerd Gerseke sped through Coniunctis Viribus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martin Hoving. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coniunctis Viribus's goalkeeper Martin Hoving, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Thijs Waidijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Bram Bos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Steve Pluijm. That made the score 1-2 in the 42 minute of play. The supporters of Ruisseveen booed when Coniunctis Viribus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folkert Boswijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sjoerd Gerseke to strike the kick off in the second half. Maurus Claevers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steve Pluijm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Jonkman in the 55th minute of the match. Hette Arnolds kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Coniunctis Viribus got a freekick which was hit by Theo Kleiker. In the 62nd match minute, Coniunctis Viribus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacco Carel to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Maurus Claevers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sjoerd Gerseke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vincent Roelofsen charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vincent Roelofsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Ruisseveen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Roelofsen to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Bram Bos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Pluijm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve Pluijm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Teesing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bram Bos in the 93rd minute of play forced Ruisseveen's goalkeeper Steve Pluijm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Coniunctis Viribus supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ruisseveen's performance. The match ended with a win for Ruisseveen.
