The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Lennart Zandberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Terdiek FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rha the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Terdiek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjoerd Appel to maneuver through the defense. In the 45thth minute of the game Alwin Kuys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terdiek FC's Erik Bette was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Alwin Kuys made the kick off in the second half. Brain van Zeist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alwin Kuys in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Bette saved Terdiek FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Terdiek FC's zone, Alwin Kuys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Bette came out of the goal and Alwin Kuys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Terdiek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alwin Kuys came free, but Erik Bette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Rha's goal looked a bit too open when Matthijs Meppelink came free, but Yannik Theuniers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Bette stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alwin Kuys's shot from short distance in the 76th minute.
