The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Jan Fellinger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, De betuwse superboeren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaas Jan Fellinger to maneuver through the defense. Vareburen V.V.'s David Kuipers got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 played minutes De betuwse superboeren got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Jan Fellinger. De betuwse superboeren's Stefano Lammens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Kuipers in the 16th minute of play. Stefano Lammens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Vennegoor in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, David Kuipers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitchell Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan Hoiting in the 23rd minute of play. Roeland Janssen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mitchell Degens having to make a save. In the 30th match minute, Vareburen V.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjors Damen to maneuver through the defense. Bob Vennegoor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Stefano Lammens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Andre Arnolds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boukjan Hoiting to strike the kick off in the second half. If Boukjan Hoiting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Kuipers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitchell Degens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roeland Janssen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boukjan Hoiting scored 1-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mitchell Degens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mitchell Degens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan Hoiting in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the De betuwse superboeren defense, Bob Vennegoor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefano Lammens. The De betuwse superboeren fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefano Lammens should have stopped the shot. After 88 played minutes De betuwse superboeren got a freekick which was hit by Herman Roewen. Roeland Janssen took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitchell Degens. Mitchell Degens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. De betuwse superboeren were victorious despite being under pressure from Vareburen V.V. for much of the match.
